Job Description
s on a maternity leave coverage basis, providing essential speech-language services within an itinerant schedule between the assigned schools.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive speech-language pathology assessments and interventions tailored to middle school-aged students (grades 6-8)
• Manage caseload of approximately 100 students across two campuses, maintaining detailed and compliant documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Maintain compliance with district and state guidelines for school-based SLP services
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
Qualifications:
• Valid and current Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) professional licensure
• Experience working in school settings, preferably with middle school populations
• Ability to manage itinerant caseloads effectively
• Successful completion of background check and fingerprinting as required for school credentialing
• Strong communication and organizational skills
Location:
• San Antonio, TX (Itinerant between Garner Middle School and Wood Middle School)
Contract Details:
• Position Type: Full-time contract maternity leave coverage
• Start Date: Early April (projected onboarding by 03/30/2026 with role starting approximately 04/06/2026)
• Duration: Through late May (approx. 4/1/20265/22/2026)
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week

- •Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required
