POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for promoting a person-centered recovery approach toward independence and integration utilizing the nursing process to all clients of the Center. This position works dependently with a Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) with nursing supervision. A person in this position must be familiar with concepts, practices and procedures within a Medication Clinic/Primary Care Clinic and rely on limited experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. A person in this position must exercise tact, judgment and confidentiality in contact with the public, clients and families, as well as fellow associates of the Center. This position requires a high level of professionalism.

Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Demonstrate the ability to accurately assess and document a client's medical status; including but not limited to taking vital signs, height, weight, BMI and suicidal ideations reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Administer injections.
• Deliver medications and other medical treatment as directed by physicians' orders.
• Ensure clients have completed assessment tools.
• Document timely, accurately and in accordance with Center policies utilizing current systems, practices and in accordance with the treatment plan.
• Document accurate information, which reflects client progress based on the appropriate therapeutic modality. Therapeutic services will be time limited and specific to the presenting problem(s) of each assigned client.
• Record delivery of all directed medications and treatments per policy.
• Provide any referral source information according to needs of the referral source.
• Request documentation from other facilities, as needed.
• Work with insurance companies to provide the required information and complete insurance documentation.
• Prepare for the clinic by determining routine lab needs per Center medication protocol.
• Demonstrate an understanding of basic infection control issues and preventative measures.
• Demonstrate an understanding of medication protocols and able to answer basic questions about medication.
• Schedule appointments and assist clients in obtaining appointments.
• Complete referral paperwork as needed.
• Obtains requested information from other physicians/agencies.
• Obtain client consents for releasing information.
• Demonstrate an understanding of basic concepts regarding practice of LIP.
• Teach common activities of daily living as needed.
• Provide education to groups regularly as assigned.
• Provide individualized education to clients and their families as indicated.
• Provide emergency services as needed; either by phone or face-to-face.
• If located in the ACU, must be able to demonstrate competency in the use of restraints/seclusion.
• Abide by all Center policies and procedures.
• Maintain positive working relations and rapport with the communities served.
• Set up exam rooms for procedures as well as help LIP with patient examinations.
• Record medical histories past and present as well as personal information.
• Draw labs and do POC testing.

Starting and growing base wage opportunities up to $27.25/hour!!

• Four-day (32 hour) work week
• Eligible for $150/month ($1,800 annually) in student loan repayment, available at hire
• Earn $750 for every person you refer who is hired and remains employed for 6 months and receive an additional $500 every year as long as you both remain employed
