Qualifications:
• Master's degree in speech pathology or communications disorders
• Illinois state license (from IDFPR) and ISBE PEL
• Certification by ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association)

Role Overview:

As an SLP, you will create and implement individualized education/treatment programs for students whose communication abilities have been affected by developmental differences, disabilities, or injuries. This position offers the chance to work in a supportive school setting while making a lasting impact on the development of young learners.

Job Details:
• Schedule: M-F full-time hours
• Dates: ASAP - end of school year
• Hours: M-F 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
• Setting: Elementary School servicing students in elementary grades
• In-person only

Key Responsibilities:
• Modify and adapt lessons and curriculum as needed to meet individual student needs and IEP goals
• Facilitate IEP meetings and assist in the development of IEPs
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and aligned with student developmental levels and interests
• Establish and communicate clear expectations for behaviors, utilizing positive reinforcement and behavior modification techniques as necessary. Help develop and implement behavior intervention plans for students.
