Job Description
ay as a 7-week intensive summer program. Social Beginnings is unique in that it offers entirely group instruction to promote social skills development. Clients can work on skills s/a: Teamwork, conversation skills, turn-taking, losing a game, think before you speak, joining in play, personal space, manners, giving compliments, following classroom rules, resolving conflict, and friendly vs unfriendly. We utilize our own behavior analytic curricula for the program, and work to target social skills through structured and free-play activities. Activities may include water play activities, science experiments, and outdoor & indoor structured & unstructured games - all while implementing ABA teaching techniques! All overseen by the Director of Program Operations & Clinical Director of Developmental Programs.

• Summer Program: June 22, 2026 - August 21, 2026
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Responsibilities
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for creating and implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs and providing oversight for specific cases within the Verbal Beginnings community per clinical guidelines. They will utilize, understand, and apply work practices aligned with the core values and strategic plan of Verbal Beginnings. The Clinical Supervisor will report to and work closely with the Clinical Director of Developmental Programs.
• Ensure the client is in a safe and positive environment at all times
• Provide the designated level of direct, supervisory, and consultative ABA services to assigned clients.
• Administer all aspects of assigned clients’ ABA programs, including:
• Initial and ongoing assessments of skills and deficits, including completing assigned assessments and reports by the due date
• Creation and implementation of appropriate programming per the client’s Treatment Plan
• Analysis and monitoring of program data and progress
• Training of and ongoing clinical and administrative supervision of ABATs and RBTs working with the Clinical Supervisor’s assigned clients, including regular communication with subordinates both within and outside of sessions
• Training of and coordination with caregivers of assigned clients and other service providers, including regular communication with clients’ caregivers both within and outside of sessions
• Ensure that the assigned clients’ programs are appropriate and effective
• Document billed services, including keeping records of session dates and times, description of services provided, and additional documentation as assigned
• Comply with Company and BACB guidelines at all times
Qualifications
About You:
• Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing
• Hold a current MD state license (LBA) or be able to obtain licensure before the start of the program
• Completion of BCBA supervision training
• 2+ years of experience working with children with developmental disabilities
• Experience working with kids in a group / social skills settings preferred
• Excellent communication skills and excitement to work with others
Physical Demands
The physical requirements here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions.
• Movements in response to aggressive and self-injurious behavior
• Ability to move quickly and confidently to intervene in situations when protective carries or environmental arrangements are deemed necessary
• Ability to pursue a bolting student, including but not limited to: running, moving quickly from side to side
• Successful completion of Safety Care training and Re-Certifications
• Including but not limited to: pivoting, knee squats, shuffling front and backwards, and carrying children
