Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Hold a current educator license in the State of Utah
• Previous experience working in the field of Speech-Language Pathology is preferred
• Valid Driver's License, operational vehicle and insurance
• Position requires candidate to submit for and pass a background check in accordance with Utah's Department of Public Safety requirements.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer and educational technological skills.
• Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to establish and maintain a positive learning environment and handle student management issues in a calm manner.
• Ability to deliver effective speech-language pathology services.

Essential Duties Include (but Are Not Limited To)
• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech and language disorders
• Develop effective Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for students with speech and language disorders
• Build strong relationships with parents and school teams
• Work cooperatively with all members of the IEP instructional team, including administration, psychologists, health care professionals, designated instructional service providers, para-educators, general education teachers, and parents
• Process and maintain confidential files, as required by state and federal laws
• Maintain necessary records of assessment, attendance, and progress to evaluate student learning and regularly report that information to parents, students, and supervisor as requested and required by state and federal laws
• Work within an established schedule, meeting necessary timelines
• Maintain flexibility, such as changes in staff or individual student programs
• Attend all required LEA meetings and events
• Conforms to district policies including attendance, absences and evaluations.
• Perform other related duties, as assigned.
