Duties
• Must have current MLT or MLS certification in Florida.
• Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens using techniques such as blood sampling and specimen processing to ensure high-quality samples for testing.
• Maintain strict aseptic techniques and adhere to laboratory procedures to prevent contamination during specimen handling and testing.
• Operate advanced laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, microscopes, and blood banking instruments with precision.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, document all procedures thoroughly, and assist in laboratory management tasks including inventory control and equipment maintenance.
• Support clinical trials by preparing samples, executing assays, analyzing data, and documenting findings in accordance with research protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to perform proficiency testing, interpret test results, and coordinate findings with Medical and Quality Assurance managers.
Experience
• Proven clinical laboratory experience or research laboratory background demonstrating proficiency in laboratory techniques such as performing hematology and related testing, validating lab equipment, and reviewing immunoassays.
• Familiarity with laboratory management systems (LIS) for data entry, result reporting, and specimen tracking.
• Hands-on experience with blood banking, or blood-derived product, practices.
• Strong data analysis skills for interpreting complex test results accurately while maintaining detailed documentation.
• Experience working within clinical trials or blood banking is highly desirable.
• Ability to follow detailed laboratory procedures precisely while demonstrating excellent attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred.
Pay: $24.32 - $34.29 per hour
