We're dedicated to reducing adolescent anxiety, depression, and suicide rates-and we need your expertise to help make it happen. At Embark, you'll join a comprehensive team that includes Licensed Therapists, Clinical Support Staff, a Music Therapist, a Yoga Therapist, a Registered Art Therapist, and two Therapy Support Dogs, all creating a vibrant, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
• Assist the clinical staff in supporting clients in treatment groups and activities.
• Supervises the students and ensures that they are being safe to themselves and to those around them.
• Helps clinical staff enforce Group Rules and Norms.
• Rewards and praises students for positive behavior.
• Assists students in processing through the students' various issues and concerns.
• Develops a healthy and meaningful staff/student relationship with each student.
• Advises students regarding problem solving and offers healthy coping strategies for dealing with the students' emotions.
• Observes and charts student behavior, affect, and participation.
• Monitors the environment surrounding the clients at all times for safety and is aware of emergency procedures.
• Provides care and monitors symptoms for individuals with moderate or high risk of suicide.
• Assists Clinical Team in Assessing clients for suicide risk and performing appropriate screening for suicide risk when needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in psychology, behavioral science, or equivalent field.
• Experience working with adolescents, teens and young adults ages 12 - 28 yrs. old
• Experience working in a behavioral or mental health setting
• Team player with a growth mindset
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to pass a state background check
• Microsoft Suite & Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
