About the Role
As an Entry-Level Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with young children, supporting their development through engaging, evidence-based activities rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
This is an entry-level position, and no prior ABA experience is required. DSP Health provides paid training, ongoing supervision, and mentorship, making this role ideal for individuals looking to start or grow a career in healthcare, education, or child development.
This Role Is a Great Fit For:
• Recent graduates or students in psychology, education, child development, or related fields
• Individuals with childcare experience (nannies, babysitters, preschool teachers, tutors, daycare staff, etc.)
• Healthcare or support professionals seeking a more mission-driven role
• Anyone passionate about helping children and families
Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one support to children in a clinic-based setting
• Implement ABA intervention plans under the supervision of experienced clinicians
• Use play-based and structured activities to support learning and skill development
• Collect and document data to track progress and guide treatment
• Collaborate with supervisors and families to ensure consistent, high-quality care
Qualifications:
• High school diploma (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
• Experience working with children (preferred, not required)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfort using tablets or basic technology
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 lbs., sitting/kneeling on the floor, and moving quickly when needed
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
• Ability to pass background check and TB clearance
• Must be located in or near San Luis Obispo
