Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time ABA Therapist to support children with developmental disabilities, including autism. The ideal candidate will implement behavioral therapy techniques, assist with patient assessments, and contribute to individualized treatment plans. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families while gaining valuable experience in behavioral health and special education.
Responsibilities
• Deliver evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions tailored to each child's needs
• Collect and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment adjustments
• Assist with intake procedures and initial assessments for new clients
• Support patients during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including behavior analysts, educators, and healthcare providers
• Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, diagnostic evaluation, and patient care protocols
• Uphold confidentiality standards and adhere to all privacy policies regarding medical records and sensitive information
Skills
• Experience with behavioral therapy, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques
• Prior work with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
• Strong data collection and documentation skills for tracking patient progress
• Knowledge of special education practices and behavioral health principles
• Familiarity with medical terminology, patient assessment procedures, and diagnostic evaluation processes
• Ability to work patiently and effectively with children and families in a supportive manner
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and experience managing medical records securely
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and engage with patients’ families effectively
