Job Description

Join a meaningful career at Astra ABA, where we focus on providing personalized therapy for children with autism. We are looking for dedicated Behavior Technicians to become a vital part of our team of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapists, guiding children to reach their fullest potential.

Behavior Technician Responsibilities:
• Deliver individualized, 1-on-1 support to children in their homes.
• Teach essential daily living and social skills using proven methods and positive reinforcement techniques.
• Build strong relationships with clients to better assess their interests and effectively implement tailored behavior plans.
• Execute skill acquisition and behavior intervention plans developed by a supervising BCBA.
• Accurately collect and maintain data for treatment plans, providing it to the BCBA for thorough analysis.
• Consult with the BCBA regularly for ongoing support, training, and supervision.
• Modify interventions and methods as directed by the supervising BCBA when necessary.
• Stay well-informed about the intervention strategies and plans for each client on your caseload.
• Maintain RBT credentials by completing the RBT Competency Assessment annually, in accordance with BACB guidelines.
• Track RBT supervision hours to ensure compliance both internally and externally.
• Renew RBT Competency Assessment and submit the Annual Renewal form to the BACB on time. Adhere continuously to the BACB Ethical Standards.
• Engage in collaborative clinical team meetings and participate in ongoing training opportunities.
• Ensure all session documentation is accurate, signed, and submitted promptly for billing purposes.

Behavior Technician Skills and Qualifications:
• Registered Behavior Technician Certificate from the BACB.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking, running, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and stooping for extended periods.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with clients' families and effectively writing session notes.
• Confident interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients' families.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
• A motivated team player with patience and professionalism.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Outstanding oral and written communication abilities.
• Must provide verifiable work references and pass a background check.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in ABA therapy, preferably working with individuals with autism in a supervised environment.
