Job Description

Clients are seen in the clinic, schools, daycares, other community locations, and in some cases, in their homes.
Duties
ABA therapy involves providing instruction in cognitive areas as well as communication, socialization, play skills, motor development, and self‑help skills while focusing on behavioral improvement across domains. New entrants will receive training to become a Registered Behavior Technician and must complete the training within the first three months of employment to continue working. Employment is hourly, W‑2, with therapy provided in the clinic, daycares, schools, community environments, and/or client homes.
• Therapist schedules are developed based on therapist/client availability and the distance of clients from the therapist's home.
• Therapists are thoughtfully assigned to clients based on skills and personality.
• Starting hourly wage will be commensurate with experience, dedication and pursuit of advanced training and educational background. Opportunities for advancement, eligibility for 401K, and consideration for salaried positions are available with continued employment. Summer employment, internships, and BCBA/BCaBA supervision will be considered.
Requirements
Candidates must have reliable transportation, internet access, and either have or complete certification in First Aid/CPR along with a current PPD test paid for by Crescent. The minimal education requirement is a high school diploma or GED. Federal/state background, reference, and child abuse registry checks will be completed prior to a formal offer of employment.
Nice to Haves
Work of this nature requires a love of children, maturity, dependability, independence in completing work assignments, flexibility, good communication skills, teamwork ability, and a willingness to learn. Entry‑level applicants particularly well suited for this role include those with nanny/teaching experience or pursuing degrees in education, psychology, or other health‑related professions. Experience in these areas is welcome but not necessary. Training, behavioral programming, consistent supervision, consultation, and ongoing training by senior staff and BCBA/BCaBAs will be provided. Provision of supervision and participation in a training program to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will be provided.
