Description

As an ABA Behavioral Therapist, you’ll provide individualized, evidence-based behavioral therapy to children with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), in their natural environments. Your work will focus on fostering growth in communication, social, and adaptive skills, while adhering to California’s regulatory and ethical standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Deliver therapy sessions based on treatment plans designed by Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
• Utilize ABA principles to teach and reinforce communication, social, and self-help skills.
• Collect and record accurate data on client progress.
• Communicate effectively with families, offering feedback and guidance.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and adjust goals.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and California privacy laws in all records and documentation.

Schedule
• Hours available Monday through Sunday, 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Qualifications

Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:
• At least 6 months of experience working with children, ideally in an ABA or developmental disability setting.

Skills and Traits:
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills.
• Patience, empathy, and professionalism in diverse situations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Solution-oriented and prompt in effectively addressing behaviors.

Additional Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs to support client activities.
• Must be able to run, bend, sit, stand for long periods at a time
• Reliable transportation
• Live Scan background check and TB test clearance required before start date.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $26.00 (based on experience).
