We are pleased to announce the following available position: Therapist (LCSW, LMHC) – M-F, 8 Hr. Shifts, required to work evenings.
Responsibilities: The IOP Therapist will be responsible to help develop and run an evening IOP Tele-health program. Also, the Therapist is responsible to conduct therapeutic services for patients and provide counseling sessions for families, individuals and groups. Interview and develop the psychosocial history, assess the therapeutic needs of the individual and family and make clinical mental health evaluations, develop appropriate treatment objectives and established periodic treatment summaries. Act as the patients’ and families’ primary contact during the patients’ stay at the facility, as well as their advocate with the treatment team. Participate as liaison with external agencies and individuals to develop and coordinate discharge planning with the treatment team and patients’ families.
Qualifications
Job Requirements: Education: Master's Degree or doctoral from an accredited college or university in Social Work.
Licensure: Current license from State of Florida required for LMHC and LCSW to deliver outpatient services.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of direct clinical experience specific to family, individual and group therapy preferred.
Additional Requirements: CPR certification and successful completion of restraining procedures training within 30 days of employment. Understanding of The Joint Commission (TJC), AHCA, OSHA and applicable state and federal regulatory requirements. Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and their family members, multidisciplinary treatment team members, managed care representatives and external agencies in a clear, concise, calm, professional manner. Demonstrate excellent critical thinking and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements: Move efficiently enough to meet the needs of several patients and/or move rapidly to provide timely intervention of patient aggression. Able to stand, sit and walk during work shift. Able to hear spoken words in a normal vocal range, respond to signals, alarms, codes or other displays. Recognize vocal intonation that signal changes in acuity. Able to bend, reach and stoop. Must write legibly so as to accurately convey information. Able to read instructions and complete documentation and reports. Restrain, as part of a team, an aggressive patient in a safe and therapeutic manner. Able to lift, position or move patients in order to or assist in searches and procedures. Perform activities requiring manual dexterity. Able to lift 30 lbs.
