Job Description
tnership with the Educational Services Center of Northeast Ohio (ESC NEO) and local school districts, our Autism School provides a blended learning environment focused on language development, behavioral supports, and academic outcomes. We serve students from kindergarten through graduation, using Ohios Academic Content Standards extended as the foundation for curriculum development.
Our interdisciplinary team includes intervention specialists, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, behavior analysts and specialists, and teaching assistants. Together we provide direct, integrated, and thematic instruction including activities of daily living in the school and in the community. We are proud of our district partnerships that help students receive intensive intervention at ACC and support a return to a less restrictive learning environment. In collaboration with families, we strengthen communication outcomes and improve quality of life for students and the people who love them. We make a difference.
The Role
We are seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our Autism School team. In this role, you will partner with the classroom teacher and BCBA as part of an interdisciplinary team to implement behavior supports, support classroom routines, and help students build skills that increase independence and learning.
What You Will Do
• Provide behavior support to the teacher and classroom team
• Support daily classroom routines and program operations
• Assist students with instructional and non instructional tasks as directed by the BCBA and classroom team
• Implement individualized behavior plans with fidelity
• Collect and document data to track progress toward behavior goals
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
What You Bring (Required)
• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
• Associate degree in Education or related field, or two years of college coursework in Education, Special Education, or a related area
• At least 1 year of successful experience working directly with children with autism and related developmental delays in a home, school, or clinical setting
• Working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles
• Ability to obtain an Ohio aide permit or paraprofessional license
Preferred
• 1 -2 years of experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in an educational setting
• Strong skills in data collection, de escalation, and team communication
Sign on Bonus Details
$500 total bonus paid as follows
• $150 after successful completion of the introductory period (90 days)
• $150 after 6 months
• $200 after 1 year
