Make a difference in the lives of children and families as a dedicated Autism Specialist in an engaging school-based setting near Meridian, ID. This full-time, onsite contract role is ideal for professionals with expertise in pediatric autism, a passion for supporting students with ASD, and a collaborative spirit. Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in a related field is required
• LMFT preferred
• At least 3 years of experience working with adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, including individuals without intellectual disabilities
• Strong background in addressing mental health, sensory integration, executive functioning, and social skills challenges related to ASD
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized assessments and evidence-based interventions for students with ASD
• Develop and implement personalized support plans focused on enhancing executive functioning, socialization, and sensory processing
• Work closely with families, teachers, and support staff to ensure consistent strategies across school and home settings
• Deliver staff training on best practices for supporting students with autism
• Monitor student progress, adjust interventions, and maintain thorough documentation
• Advocate for student needs within the academic environment
