Why ABA SHINE

We’re a small, BCBA woman-owned Bay Area agency building supportive, sane workloads for clinicians. We focus on early intervention using ABA principles to teach all 5 verbal operant i, and our Behavior Respite program is also staffed by trained RBTs/BTs and supervised by BCBAs and mid-level, who focus on safety, stability, and family quality of life—with lighter documentation than insurance-funded ABA and predictable, family-friendly schedules.

What BCBAs love here
• Manageable caseloads (primarily respite cases; or parent training sessions-limited treatment hours)
• Hybrid flexibility (remote report writing/admin; field for trainings/overlaps)
• Paid drive time + mileage and paid documentation
• CEU stipend ($500 (PT)–$1,000 (FT)) + paid BACB fees
• Clinical autonomy & strong ops support (scheduling, authorizations, payroll handled centrally)
• Growth paths: Lead BCBA, training lead, QA, or program development
• Work you can feel good about: stabilize homes, prevent placement disruptions, and mentor early-career techs

The Role

You will oversee Behavior Technicians providing either early intervention Behavior or behavior Respite services for children and young adults served by the Regional Center. You’ll ensure services are safe, ethical, and consistent with BACB supervision standards and California Title 17/Regional Center requirements. (The early intervention is an intensive program, but the Behavior Respite is support-focused—not an intensive treatment.)

Core Responsibilities
• Conduct risk/safety and support needs reviews; collaborate on practical in-home strategies (routines, transitions, community outings).
• Train, coach, and supervise RBTs/BTs (meets/ exceeds BACB ongoing supervision requirements; includes overlaps and debriefs).
• QA & compliance: brief progress summaries, incident review, and Title 17/Regional Center-aligned documentation.
• Partner with caregivers, case managers, and schools to keep services consistent and sustainable.
• Champion ethical, culturally responsive practice and client dignity.

What You’ll Avoid Here
• Oversized, treatment-heavy caseloads
• Endless insurance authorizations & lengthy treatment reports
• Unpaid admin time
• Progress notes are needed yearly.

Perks & Benefits
• Competitive pay (hourly or salaried) with bonus eligibility
• Medical, dental, vision (FT); 401(k) match (FT)
• CEU stipend + paid BACB dues; internal CE trainings
• Mileage + paid drive time; company tablet & software
• Flexible PT tracks (10–20 hrs/wk) or FT (30 - 32 hrs/wk)
• Bilingual pay differential

How We Support You
• Dedicated scheduling & ops team so you can focus on clinical work (not chasing calendars)
• Clear report templates (safety plan, shift notes, incident quick forms)
