Responsibilities
• Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
• Order, perform, and interpret medical tests, and analyze records and reports to diagnose patient conditions.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history, examination results, and treatment plans.
• Explain medical procedures, test results, and treatments to patients and their families.
• Advise patients on diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
• Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare practitioners when needed.
• Coordinate and direct activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.

Requirements
• Graduate from an accredited medical school with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree
• Current medical license in the state of Arkansas
• Experience as a physician preferred
• CPR certification required upon employment or within the first 3 months of employment
• Must reside in the service area
• Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare team
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
