Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavioral Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals, particularly children, who have developmental disabilities and autism. You will implement behavioral therapy techniques, assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), and contribute to the overall well-being of our clients.

Your expertise in applied behavior analysis and behavior management will be essential in fostering positive behavioral changes and enhancing the quality of life for those you support.

Responsibilities
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
• Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs) to promote independence and self-care skills.
• Collect and document data on client progress and behaviors to inform treatment adjustments.
• Provide support and teaching in social skills, communication, and other developmental areas.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and review care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
• Engage clients in therapeutic activities that promote learning and behavioral improvement.
• Utilize effective behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors in a constructive manner.
• Foster a supportive environment that encourages client participation and engagement.

Qualifications
• Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Familiarity with special education practices and patient care standards.
• Strong skills in data collection, medical terminology, and documentation practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independent initiative.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
• Understanding of care plans, medical records management, and behavioral health principles.
