Job Description

The primary function of the Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) is to plan, develop, and monitor variety of behavioral support service delivery options to meet the needs of clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges. The BCBA also consults with team members regarding pro-active, educational, programming, and behavioral supports; develops and implements comprehensive treatment plans; and collaborates with team members, related services providers, families, and other agencies as appropriate .
Responsibilities
• plan, develop, and monitor variety of behavioral support service delivery options to meet the needs of clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges
• consults with team members regarding pro-active, educational, programming, and behavioral supports
• develops and implements comprehensive treatment plans
• collaborates with team members, related services providers, families, and other agencies as appropriate
Requirements
• Master's Degree or PhD
• CPR and First Aid
• Safety Care
• 2+ years of BCBA experience preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and experience demonstrating excellence in problem-solving, collaboration and clinical competencies in providing services to students with disabilities and their families.
• Prior experience working with students with severe social, communication and behavioral deficits.
• Knowledge of best practices in the treatment of autism and experience working with individuals with autism and their families.
• Criminal background check that is free of felonies or any offenses involving child abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence and/or drug or alcohol related charges.
• Valid driver's license, clear traffic abstract and proof of car insurance
• Active BACB Certification
• Licensed as a Behavior Analyst in the state of Virginia
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong clinical skills and experience demonstrating excellence in problem-solving, collaboration and clinical competencies in providing services to students with disabilities and their families.
• Able to lead and direct paraprofessional staff in various environments, such as schools, homes and community .
• Able to give and receive instruction or direction to/ from others.
• Able to respond effectively to the varied needs of the students, families, staff and other multidisciplinary team members.
• Uses good judgment and maintain effective boundaries when sharing information about company with county staff.
• Other providers, and members of the community.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines and agencies is .
• Knowledge of and experience with HIPAA compliance is .
• Initiative and the ability to work independently is as is flexibility and the ability to take direction.
• Experience supervising employees and students is .
• Reliable, dependable team-player .
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
