Job Description
Behavior Consultant
At our institution, we are dedicated to supporting students aged 5-21 who face challenges related to autism, emotional, behavioral, and developmental issues. Our approach focuses on individualized learning and therapeutic integration to prepare students for enriching adult lives. By joining us, you can play a crucial role in helping students create their unique stories.
As a Behavior Consultant, you will create personalized behavior plans to aid students' academic and social success. Collaborating with educators, therapists, and families, you will implement effective behavioral strategies that contribute to students' growth and boost their confidence.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in education, psychology, or applied behavior analysis
• BCBA certification or BCaBA credential, either current or in progress
• At least two years of experience with children having behavioral or developmental needs
• Proficient in Applied Behavior Analysis and positive behavior supports
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities
• Perform functional behavioral assessments and create personalized positive behavior support plans
• Provide behavioral consultation and monitoring to assigned students
• Train and assist teachers and staff in implementing behavior strategies and data collection
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure behavioral goals support IEP objectives
• Evaluate behavioral data and modify interventions for continuous student achievement
