Job Description

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' behavioral needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement and monitor behavior intervention strategies based on the principles of applied behavior analysis.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies across environments.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation related to client progress and treatment outcomes.
• Provide training and support to staff and caregivers on behavioral techniques and strategies.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations to identify specific behavioral challenges and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Utilize medical terminology effectively when discussing client cases with healthcare professionals.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral therapy.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
• A valid LBA in NYS. is required.
• A valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification is required.
• Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with special education needs is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in medical documentation practices and familiarity with medical records management.
• Strong skills in patient assessment, including the ability to analyze data and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and their application in various settings.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
