Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Montana Group Home
Position Summary:
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct, one-on-one behavioral support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT implements individualized behavior intervention plans, collects data, and promotes skill development to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement behavior intervention plans as designed by the BCBA to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Provide direct support and supervision to residents in the group home and community settings.
• Accurately collect and record data on resident behaviors and progress.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistent implementation of behavior plans.
• Encourage and support the development of communication, self-help, and adaptive skills.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may prefer additional education).
• Current RBT certification from the BACB (or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe).
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and data collection skills.
• Ability to pass background checks and meet all state and agency requirements.
