Job Description
ol buildings. The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide prevention, assessment, and intervention services for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The SLP works collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to support students' communication skills and overall educational success. This position begins with the 2026-2027 school year.
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement
• American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• School-based experience preferred
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate students suspected of having speech or language disorders
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) related to speech and language services
• Provide direct therapy services individually and in small groups
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings and team conferences
• Support classroom-based communication strategies and interventions
• Comply with district policies, procedures, and professional standards
Salary: Please see the attached current 2025-2026 Salary Schedule (our existing 4-year collective bargaining agreement will expire at the end of the 2025-2026 school year and we will be negotiating a new agreement that will begin with the 2026-2027 school year). Also attached is a summary of our 2026 Employee Benefits.
