We are seeking a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to provide mental health services within a correctional facility in Delano, CA
. This role focuses on delivering therapy, crisis intervention, and rehabilitative support to incarcerated individuals. The LMFT will complete assessments, provide direct therapeutic care, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, evidence-based treatment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy for inmates with diverse mental health needs.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver crisis intervention services, including suicide risk assessments and stabilization.
• Work collaboratively with custody staff, medical teams, and mental health professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with institutional, state, and federal standards.
• Assist with reentry planning and connect individuals to community-based resources when appropriate.
Qualifications
• Active, unrestricted LMFT license in California.
• Previous experience in corrections, forensic mental health, or acute psychiatric care preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, therapeutic, and case management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a secure and multidisciplinary environment.

Benefits

  • Schedule: 09/15/2025 – 03/15/2026 (strong likelihood of extension)
  • Pay Rate: $63/hour

Responsibilities

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1 week)
  • This role focuses on delivering therapy, crisis intervention, and rehabilitative support to incarcerated individuals
  • The LMFT will complete assessments, provide direct therapeutic care, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, evidence-based treatment
