sion of our Pharmacy Director. Hospital Pharmacists work closely with doctors and nurses to ensure medications are safe, effective, and correctly dosed, while also monitoring for side effects or drug interactions.
Shifts Available: Varied
Employment Type: Full Time
Hours: 8-hour shift
Location: Mission Regional Medical Center - Mission, TX

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
• Conduct patient interviews to obtain accurate and complete medication histories during admission or transition of care
• Review and verify physician medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, route of administration, frequency, and potential drug interactions
• Ensure medication orders comply with hospital protocols, clinical guidelines, and patient-specific factors (e.g., renal function, allergies, weight)
• Prepare and dispense medications accurately, including IV admixtures, unit-dose medications, and controlled substances, following all safety and sterility protocols
• Monitor medication therapies and provide clinical recommendations to optimize therapeutic outcomes and minimize adverse drug events
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust patient-specific medication plans
• Coordinate daily operations within the pharmacy to ensure efficient medication distribution and inventory management
• Deliver pharmaceutical care to a wide range of inpatient units, including – General Medicine/Surgery, Intensive Care Units (ICU), Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Department, Oncology, Perioperative Services, Geriatrics and other departments

1. Current state Registered Pharmacist License.
2. Experience in hospital pharmacy operations preferred.
3. B.S. degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
4. BLS certification preferred

- •As a Hospital Pharmacist for our Inpatient Pharmacy, you will prepare, dispense, and manage medications for patients in our hospital under the supervision of our Pharmacy Director
