Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) leads the development, coordination, and implementation of Bullis Charter School's behavioral supports and instructional programming. The BCBA ensures that behavioral and social-emotional services for students with disabilities are responsive, effective, and compliant with IDEA, California law, and applicable federal regulations.
In this capacity, the BCBA collaborates with general education staff to design, implement, and monitor proactive, data-driven behavioral supports aimed at early intervention and prevention.
The BCBA provides both direct and consultative support, builds staff capacity through professional learning, and supports the development and implementation of individualized behavior intervention plans.
Serve as a core member of the Multi Tier Systems of Support (MTSS), supporting Tier 1 and Tier 2 behavioral and social-emotional interventions for general education students
Use data to support early identification of student needs and to guide intervention planning and progress monitoring
Support the development, implementation and refinement of universal (Tier 1) and targeted (Tier 2) behavioral systems and practices across the school
Provide coaching and professional learning to staff on proactive behavior strategies, classroom management, SEL strategies, and data-informed decision-making
Design, support, and monitor the implementation of classroom management strategies and individualized behavioral interventions
Support the implementation and ongoing monitoring of BIPs in collaboration with instructional and support staff
A collaborative, organized, and thoughtful professional who values data-driven decision-making
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related behavioral science field
Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
Experience working with students in educational or clinical settings implementing behavioral-based programming
Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and practices
Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential
