What to Expect as a LBS or BCBA: At NeurAbilities Healthcare, BCBAs and Licensed Behavior Specialists are responsible for conducting behavioral assessments and developing individualized intervention plans to support, improve, and maintain meaningful behavior change across home, school, and community settings.

Responsibilities
• Conduct initial, ongoing, and follow-up behavioral and skills assessments, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans and ABA therapy programs to ensure fidelity and intervention effectiveness
• Analyze data to evaluate treatment effectiveness and make program modifications as needed
• Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and/or BHT-ABA staff in accordance with applicable supervision standards. Supervision and documentation requirements will align with credentialing standards applicable to the clinician’s licensure or certification.
• Provide consultation, training, and clinical support to parents, school personnel, and therapeutic support staff
• Write comprehensive assessment reports, treatment plans, crisis plans, clinical updates, and authorization documentation in compliance with insurance, organizational, and regulatory standards
• Participate in psychological evaluations, school-based consultation, and program development as assigned
• Conduct community-based training and outreach programs as needed
• Complete required onboarding and ongoing professional training and maintain compliance with credentialing and organizational requirements
Requirements
• Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
• Experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Strong functional understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
• Experience addressing maladaptive behaviors in home and school/community environments
• Experience teaching functional communication and social skills
• Ability to train, support, and collaborate with clinical staff and ABA Behavior Technicians
• Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS): Active Behavior Specialist Licensure & Minimum of 2 years post-master’s clinical experience
• Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA/BCBA-D): Active BCBA or BCBA-D certification through the BACB, Minimum of 1 year professional experience as a BCBA, Ability to maintain CEUs and active certification in good standing, Experience with standardized assessments such as ABLLS, VB-MAPP, PEAK, Vineland, QABF, MAS, FAST, and Functional Behavior Assessments.
