Job Description
The RBT works directly with students to support positive behavior, social skills, communication, and academic engagement while ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
Required Work Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by a BCBA or supervising clinician.
Provide direct one-on-one and small group behavioral therapy services to students with disabilities.
Use evidence-based behavioral techniques to teach communication, social, daily living, and academic readiness skills.
Collect and record accurate data on student behaviors and program goals.
Assist in behavior assessments by documenting observations and student responses to interventions.
Support students during transitions, classroom activities, and therapeutic programming.
Implement crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to support student success.
Maintain accurate session documentation and student progress notes.
Follow all behavior protocols, safety procedures, and student confidentiality requirements.
Participate in required trainings, team meetings, and professional development.
Assist with classroom management and student supervision throughout the school day.

The role requires flexibility, patience, and a strong commitment to supporting students with complex learning and behavioral needs.

Responsibilities
- •The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct behavioral intervention services to students with developmental, behavioral, and emotional needs in a special education school setting
- •The RBT implements individualized behavior intervention plans and skill-building programs designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or other qualified supervising professional
- •The RBT works directly with students to support positive behavior, social skills, communication, and academic engagement while ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
