Responsibilities:
• Provide evidence-based therapy plans, goals, and therapeutic treatment for speech/language disorders.
• Evaluate and implement standardized tests for accurate diagnosis of communication disorders.
• Case Management for students on caseload
• Attend, facilitate, and write legally compliant/defensible IEPs
• Provide supervision for a CF or SLPA if needed or as appropriate.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Attend training as requested, collaborate, and provide support to other SPED teachers/specialists as well as GE staff.
Qualifications:
• REQUIRED: Current California SLP License
• Master's Degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders. CFY's accepted and encouraged to apply.
• Experience with Case Management & IEP Writing
• Knowledge of Special Education compliance law & regulations
• Must have a strong desire to work with a wide array of populations
• Exercise good judgment in prioritization - complete assigned tasks without supervision
• Ability to build rapport with staff
• Excellent written skills and efficient verbal communication at all organizational levels
• Positive and collaborative demeanor.
