• Interact with clients to assist them in gaining insight, defining goals, and planning action to achieve effective personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment.
• Observe individuals at play, in group interactions, or in other contexts to detect indications of mental deficiency, abnormal behavior, or maladjustment.
• Obtain and study medical, psychological, social, and family histories, by interviewing individuals, couples, or families, and by reviewing records.
• Present case(s) to a licensed clinician/clinical supervisor at the minimum of once a month based on work hours.
• Select, administer, score, and interpret psychological tests to obtain information on individuals' intelligence, achievements, interests, and personalities.
• Utilize a variety of treatment methods such as psychotherapy, hypnosis, behavior modification, stress reduction therapy, psychodrama, and play therapy.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant research.
• Refer clients to other specialists, institutions, or support services, as necessary.
• Write reports on clients and maintain required paperwork.
• Provide psychological and/or administrative services and advice to private firms and community agencies regarding mental health programs or individual cases.
• Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
• Run workshops and courses about mental health issues.
• Should be in your second year of MSW/ master’s program.
• Have completed courses such as psychopathology and introduction to therapeutic interventions.
• Should be comfortable with the use of the DSM-V diagnostics tool.
• Should be able to commute to any of our locations (check our website).
• Under the supervision of a Licensed Therapists, should be comfortable with individual and group therapy as well as direct engagement with all ages.

Qualifications

  • Graduate Student (second year) in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or mental health related field
  • Should be in your second year of MSW/ master’s program
