cedures.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
Administers individualized programs for students with behavioral needs for the purpose of ensuring their proper placement and provision of services.
Assists families, teachers, staff, community members, etc. for the purpose of understanding and meeting the needs of students with behavioral needs.
Assists in developing procedures and training materials for district staff involved with students with behavioral needs for the purpose of ensuring that all staff comply with district, state and federal regulations.
Assists staff, students, and families for the purpose of acting as liaison with the public and mental health community.
Conducts workshops, training, in-service presentations, etc. for the purpose of developing classroom management techniques and other skills for establishing effective relationships for students with behavioral needs, including the training and scheduling of Registered Behavioral Technicians.
Supervises the writing and implementation of Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.
Completes Functional Behavioral Analyses for students who have failed to respond to evidence‑based behavioral interventions.
Other Functions:
Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in a job‑related area.
Must be Certified BCBA.
Job related experience within specialized field is required.
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
None.
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: pertinent codes, policies, regulations and/or laws.SKILLS
Skills are required to perform multiple, highly complex, technical tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operate standard office equipment; utilize pertinent software applications; plan and manage projects.ABILITY
Ability is required to schedule activities, meetings, and/or events; collate data; and use basic job‑related equipment. Flexibility is required to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using defined methods. Ability is also required to work with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with a variety of data; and utilize specific, job‑related equipment. Independent problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requires analysis based on organizational objectives; and problem solving with equipment is limited. Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adapting to changing work environment; communicate with diverse groups.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Positions in this class typically require stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.

- •The job of Board Certified Behavior Analyst is done for the purpose(s) of effecting positive behavioral change in students, providing referrals to families and/or students, and complying with federal, state, county and district policies, regulations and/or procedures
