Position: Part Time Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Position Overview
We’re building “the” Teaching Hospital for pediatric therapy — a category of one by driving excellence in outcomes, developing clinicians, building payer trust, and embedding systems across what we do. As a Behavior Technician/ABA Therapist, you will provide life‑changing ABA therapy to children aged 2‑12 with autism or other developmental and language delays. You’ll use an individualized approach focused on natural play and teaching foundational skills such as self‑advocacy and communication.

• Selected candidates are invited to an onsite interview and shadow a current technician.
Your Daily Adventures as a Behavior Technician
• Conduct 1:1 therapy sessions.
• Follow prescribed skill acquisition and behavior support plans.
• Collect and record data, write therapy notes for each session.
• Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding progress (with BCBA guidance).
• Assist the BCBA in preparing and organizing client materials.
• Attend required trainings to maintain functional and technical knowledge.
• Follow BACB guidelines.
• Work toward becoming a Registered Behavior Technician if not already.
• Maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements Basic & Essential Functions
• Lift and carry clients who weigh at least 30 pounds.
• Restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Support Plan.
• Assume and maintain various postures (kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling, sitting, standing, bending).
• Walk and run to chase clients while maintaining a three‑foot distance at all times.
• Sit on floor or stand for extended periods.
• Attend to basic needs such as feeding, diapering, toileting, and dressing.
• Manual dexterity for data collection and session documentation.
• Visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication.
• Transfer written data to electronic files or database systems.
• Prolonged computer use on desk or floor.
• Assemble, clean, and maintain therapy space including toys and furniture.
• Administer medication to clients.
Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Detail oriented.
• Flexible and adaptable to meet the team and client needs.
• Professional integrity and professionalism.
Preferred Experience
• Experience working with children ages 2‑12 in a classroom, day care, 1:1 setting, or instructional childcare setting.
• Experience implementing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis; educational or allied health background.
