Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and implementing daily activities that promote clients' social, emotional, and physical well-being.
• Use crisis training when necessary.
• Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of clients during service hours.
• Implement the Individual Support Plan and report back to the BCBA.
• Provide direct care and support to clients, including assistance with personal care and medication management as needed. Some clients may need assistance with wiping and/or assistance with menses.
• Foster a positive and supportive environment that encourages client participation and engagement.
• Monitor and document clients' progress and participation in activities.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and organizational policies.
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training sessions.
• Drive participants in company vehicles to various community activities.
Experience
• 6 months experience- working with Developmental Disabilities
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare or social services is a plus.
• Must pass a background check and have reliable transportation.
• Must complete 40-Hour RBT course prior to starting the position
