Job Description

Focus is a Family Owned Business with a mission to serve and support the behavioral

needs of children and adults with autism, ADHD,

developmental disabilities, and other behavioral

disorder through the use of Applied Behavioral Analysis.

A Behavior Technician is needed at Focus in the Spicewood/Bee Cave area. The Behavior Tech will be responsible for providing behavioral support alongside other therapy staff members. This position provides training and support to clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other exceptionalities. The Behavior Technician will work daily with clients and staff to increase appropriate behavior through the use of applied behavioral analysis (ABA) techniques. The Behavior Technician works under the direction of a licensed Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with specialized knowledge of ABA, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental disabilities.

Behavior Therapist Overview:
• Apply ABA principles in 1:1 and group settings to help clients reach their full potential
• Provide early intervention, social skills, daily living skills and/or job training to clients (service 2-year-olds to adult)
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable goals
• Assist with parent and caregiver training
• Maintain client confidentiality.
• Assist BCBA supervisor with assessments.
• Collaborate with treatment team
• Work with small caseloads to focus on the individualized care for each client and participate in meetings

Requirements:
• Highschool and/or College Degree
• A passion for working with children and adults with disabilities
• An eagerness to be a part of a caring and dedicated team
• A commitment to show up every day (which includes reliable transportation and a valid driver's license)
