Regional Assignment: San Jose | Pacifica
Spectrum Center Schools and Programs, a dynamic organization dedicated to transforming the lives of students, is looking for a Regional Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our award-winning Special Education team. In this impactful role, you will provide tailored clinical and educational interventions for K-12 students across multiple locations. You will guide and mentor your team, offering training and professional development while ensuring our programs meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver training and guidance to educational staff on Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Evaluate the effectiveness of academic instruction and behavioral support services for exceptional student outcomes.
• Model and reinforce instructional best practices to promote student growth aligned with Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals.
• Implement evidence-based interventions using scientifically proven strategies for positive outcomes in academics and behavior.
• Provide crisis management and support for students displaying aggressive or self-injurious behavior to promote a safe environment.
• Collaborate with education teams to collect and analyze data on student behavior and ensure progress towards goals.
• Conduct quality checks across campuses and recommend improvements based on data analysis.
• Support on-site teams in training for behavioral assessment, intervention, and crisis management.
• Guide and supervise staff pursuing BACB certification, as agreed with the Program Director.
• Help develop improvement plans to enhance student performance and staff effectiveness.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss behavioral needs and comprehensive support strategies.
• Monitor compliance with regulations and internal standards across all campuses.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and compliance activities.
• Support operational goals focused on academic achievement and staff development.
• Perform additional duties as necessary to support organizational objectives.
Qualifications Required:
• Master's degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy, special education, or a related field.
• Licensed or in the process of obtaining a BCBA credential.
• Preferred: Education specialist or special education instruction credential.
• Valid CA state driver's license.
• Ability to maintain certification in company approved crisis management training.
• Experience providing behavioral support in special education and/or behavioral health settings.
• Proficient in applied behavior analysis, including positive behavior interventions and supports, FBAs, and BIPs.
• Experience with children with learning disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.
• Ability to implement effective intervention plans based on diverse needs.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of technology, including Microsoft Office Suite.
