Job Summary:
We are seeking passionate individuals who are interested in breaking the status quo. At our practice, we strive to go against the grain in the best interest of our staff and clients. If you're tired of being a cog in the machine and want to get back to helping children on the spectrum come and check us out! We are in search of a BCBA/BCaBA who will be responsible for 4-5 clients located in and around the Bolingbrook, IL area. No minimum experience needed. We provide mentorship programs for newly minted BCBAs. No minimum billing requirements. Our only requirement is that you are supervising at least 20% of a client's direct hours. This position is currently part time but we are growing fast and will be growing into a full time position in the near future.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop treatment plans, conduct assessments, monitor behavior changes of clients
• Design skill acquisition and behavior reduction treatments
• Collaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of clients, parents, and staff
• Provide a clean, safe, and supportive environment for clients and their families
• Attend trainings to acquire further knowledge and professional growth
• Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure consistent implementation of behavior plans
Required Qualifications:
• BCBA/BCaBA Certification
• Master's or bachelor’s degree in behavioral health or in a related field
• Relevant experience in behavioral therapy
• Must have reliable transportation and proof of valid Illinois drivers license and auto insurance in good standing
• Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and community members
• Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
• Adhere to HIPAA laws and regulations
• Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and technology, and training in order to perform job responsibilities to required standards
• Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols and writing
• Must maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing, grooming, hair, and make-up
• Patience, empathy, and dedication to helping children with autism reach their full potential
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly
• Effective time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Work Setting:
• In-home care of clients
Travel Requirement:
• No travel requirements. Job is with 1-4 clients, can increase in the future
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time
• Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time
• Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan in the course of working with children with challenging behavior
• Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection
• Must be physically present at the assigned job location, which may include home, school, and community placements
