ne roof. Our warm, light-filled, modern cancer institute includes 5 linear accelerators, 2 CT simulators, ProBeam 360 proton center, 60 infusion chairs, and 57 examination rooms.
The Radiation Oncologist will ensure that all patients receive the highest quality treatment. This position will be responsible for ensuring efficient consultation service for all Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute and Lancaster General Hospital cancer patients. Personal responsibilities include efficient clinical processes, appropriate clinical treatment protocols, provision of clinical trials, and maintenance of high levels of patient satisfaction. The Radiation Oncologist will work closely with other physicians, nursing, and technical staff at the Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health radiation department to maintain the highest level of general clinical care/operations and will have the opportunity to be a part of new clinical programs and innovations to continue to provide the latest clinical technologies and service. Current modalities includes: 2x True Beam linear accelerators, 2 Halcyon machines with plan for ETHOS adaptive planning upgrade, the nation’s first Cyberknife M6 with MLC, Respiratory gating / 4D CT scanning, Cone Beam CT image guidance and HDR brachytherapy. There is also a state of the art new ProBeam 360 proton center which was the first such compact single vault center in the world.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Medicine (Allopathic/Osteopathic)
• Completion of an accredited one year internship
• Completion of an accredited Radiation Oncology Residency
• Board Certified in Radiation Oncology
• Possess or be able to obtain an unrestricted PA Medical License
• Expertise in all modalities appropriate for the specific disease site including brachytherapy and stereotactic radiation therapy as appropriate
