Job Description
Make a profound difference in the lives of students in a transition classroom dedicated to supporting those with severe behavioral needs. This full-time, contract opportunity is perfect for an experienced Behavior Therapist, ideally credentialed as an RBT or similarly qualified, to work onsite during the 2026-2027 school year. The work environment is collaborative and focused on making meaningful progress for students who benefit from specialized behavioral interventions.
Desired Qualifications:
• Certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or credentialed Behavior Specialist (CBT)
• Previous experience working in settings supporting severe behaviors, ideally in self-contained or transition classrooms
• CPI certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification promptly upon hire
• Familiarity or experience working with Native American student populations is highly valued
• Strong understanding of evidence-based practices for behavioral interventions
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within an interdisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct behavioral support and collaboration with educational staff in a transition classroom setting
• Develop, implement, and adjust behavior intervention plans in response to student needs
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and implement data-driven adjustments
• Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to facilitate consistent support and develop a positive classroom environment
• Actively participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training, including CPI certification if needed
