2026-27 SY CLASSROOM BASED Lead Behavior Therapist

Salary: 26+, plus benefits

We are looking to grow our team of FULL-TIME Behavior Intervention Therapists for the UPCOMING 2026-27 SY.

All positions are located in San Jose and are classroom-based.

We are a Certified Non-Public Agency with the California Department of Education (CDE). We were also the first organization to be certified in California as a Certified Autism Center through the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES)

Minimum Qualifications:
• B.A in related field PREFERRED, or in pursuit of.
• 1-2 years experience in Applied Behavior Analysis or providing Behavior Supports within a Public Special Education Classroom REQUIRED. (STARTING PAY IS $26 hourly for 1 year min experience. Up to $35 hourly with 8+ years' experience)
• Included classroom experience/exposure preferred.
• Autism experience REQUIRED.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Implement positive behavior support techniques within classroom/school environment.
• Observe environment to determine where adjustments can be made within the classroom.
• Provide client with visuals to keep on task/ reminded of expectations and rewards.
• Provide client with appropriate means of communicating needs/
• or identifying frustration.
• Redirect client from inappropriate/or off task behaviors (reminding what they are working towards, or distracting with conversation they find meaningful).
• Facilitate play and/or social interactions during recess and lunch times.
• Understand and implement BIP(s) if they are in place, for each client.
• Take qualitative, quantitative and ABC (when needed) data for each client's program every session.
• Participate in all required trainings/staff development days.

Required Staff Training and Continued Education:
• Complete and maintain current standing in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).
• Complete annual Mandated Report Training.

COMPENSATION TO BE DETERMINED BASED UPON EXPERIENCE. THE MINIMUM PAY RATE STARTS AT $26 HOURLY AND GOES UP WITH EXPERIENCE.
