Qualifications

• •Graduate of accredited medical school, completion of post-graduate program in a Primary Care discipline
• •5 years of professional experience providing primary care
• •2 years of professional experience in administrative clinical level
• •Active and unencumbered license to practice in working state
• •Maintain all certifications, educational requirements, licensing, etc. for this position
• •Current CPR/BLS certification
• •Current TB test (taken within one year)
• •Ability to use a computer and use/learn a variety of software, including site-specific computer programs
• •Must demonstrate ability to appropriately and safely use standard medical equipment
• •Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test (as applicable)

Responsibilities

• •This role involves providing essential medical assessments, evaluations, and quality treatment to patients, while also offering clinical oversight to the facility
• •You will collaborate with medical, dental, and mental health providers to ensure comprehensive patient care and disease prevention
• •This position reports to the HSA and Chief Medical Officer, playing a crucial role in managing the site's medical needs
• •Employees are exposed to some level of risk and/or harm by inmates including exposure to blood borne pathogens
• •Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and relevant authorities to assist with management of the medical needs and responsibilities at the site
• •Provide medical assessments and evaluations to patients
• •Initiate and supervise treatment for medical issues
• •Supervise all care given by medical staff
• •Advise other providers on site, as needed, to allow for best possible treatment for patient
• •Collaborate effectively with all levels of staff within facility, including both colleagues and Facility staff
• •Make professional recommendations that improve quality of care and patient outcomes
