Practice Info
• Hospital setting
• Manages patient flow in the Emergency Department
• Functions as House Provider (responds to all RRT's and leads ACLS/Codes)
• Participates as a Member of the CWHMC CODE committee

Responsibilities
• Obtain and record patient history
• Consult with physician as established in the collaborative practice agreement and perform periodic review of the agreement
• Complete diagnostic and therapeutic studies
• Complete charting in a thorough and timely manner
• Perform physical and medical screening examinations
• Order diagnostic laboratory tests, radiological studies, or other therapies as appropriate
• Instruct and counsel patients regarding mental and physical health, referring patients to appropriate specialists/resources
• Establish diagnostic decision-making and initiate a treatment plan, which may include ordering medications and additional therapeutic modalities

Shift & Schedule
• Day shift
• Night shift

Requirements
• Physician Assistant Certification OR Master's degree in Nursing and NP Certification
• Registration & Licensure by the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners/ Physician Assistant Advisory required OR Registered Professional Nurse with current NJ state license, CDS and DEA
• Prior work experience as a professional nurse (for NP candidates)
• 2 years of experience in Critical Care preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) Certifications
• Active membership in a professional organization preferred
• Ability and willingness to accommodate scheduling needs including working extended hours, weekdays, overnights, weekends, and holidays
• Medical and broad-based clinical emergency medicine knowledge

Qualifications
