Job Description
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will play a crucial role in implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position requires dedication, compassion, and a commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with special needs.
Responsibilities:
• Direct Client Interaction: Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to clients based on individualized treatment plans developed by the BCBA.
• Data Collection: Accurately record client progress and behavior data during sessions using designated data collection methods.
• Behavioral Support: Implement behavior reduction protocols and strategies as directed by the BCBA to address challenging behaviors and promote positive alternatives.
• Family Collaboration: Collaborate with families to promote generalization of skills taught during therapy sessions and support family involvement in the treatment process.
• Professionalism: Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training and supervision sessions provided by the BCBA to expand knowledge and improve clinical skills.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred in Psychology, Education, or related field).
• Completion of 40-hour RBT training program and passing the RBT certification exam.
• Previous experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes or clinic locations as needed.
