• *About the Initiative**

We are launching a new public health initiative designed to equip clinicians with practical tools and education to help address the opioid epidemic. This program is supported by an unrestricted grant from the Indiana Department of Health.

We are seeking an energetic, outgoing clinical professional to join our team as a 1099 independent contractor (contractor responsible for their own taxes and benefits).
• *Position Overview**

Clinical Educators conduct one-on-one educational visits with healthcare professionals, delivering balanced, evidence-based information on medication efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

This role focuses on educating clinicians in Northern Indiana on:
• Chronic pain management without overreliance on opioids
• Appropriate use of naloxone for high-risk patients
• Identification and treatment of opioid use disorder, including medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD)

The position requires approximately 20 hours per week (2–3 days weekly) and travel throughout Northern Indiana, including Delaware, Wayne, Tippecanoe, Howard, Grant, Allen, Lake, St Joseph, Elkhart, and surrounding counties.

Clinical Educators receive comprehensive training, educational materials, and ongoing programmatic support from the Alosa Health home office in Boston, MA.
• *Key Responsibilities**

· Complete extensive training, including home-study webinars and a three-day in-person training

· Deliver one-on-one educational outreach visits to clinicians using Alosa Health’s evidence-based materials

· Build and maintain professional, service-oriented relationships with clinicians and office staff

· Develop outreach strategies to access practices, schedule appointments, and provide follow-up support

· Contribute to the development of new educational materials

· Serve as a liaison between the healthcare community, Alosa Health, and the Indiana Department of Health
• *Qualifications
• *Required:
• Professional degree in pharmacy, nursing, or medicine (RPh, PharmD, BSN, NP, PA, MD, or DO)
• 3–5 years of clinical experience
• Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week
• Strong knowledge of clinical and pharmacologic principles relevant to primary care
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel locally throughout the region
• *Preferred:
• Experience in medication management and therapeutic decision-making
• Background in public health, health education, or medical/pharmaceutical outreach
• Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and common computer applications
