Responsibilities:
• Support and implement speech-language programs designed by the supervising SLP
• Assist with goal development and track student progress through accurate documentation
• Provide feedback to the SLP on student performance and AAC device use
• Communicate regularly with the SLP/Lead SLP and school staff
• Help educate students, families, and school personnel on therapy strategies
• Maintain competency and follow best practices in speech-language support
• Identify additional student needs and refer to the SLP as appropriate
Qualifications:
• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of speech language pathology assistant with an Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Licensure: Current State License to practice Speech-Language Pathology
• Experience: One year experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant preferred.
• Skills: Therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice. Good interpersonal skills.
