Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team in providing exceptional support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. This role involves implementing behavioral therapy strategies, assisting with daily living activities, and supporting clients in achieving their personal goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in special education, behavioral health, and patient care, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations. Duties
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles
• Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress accurately for ongoing assessment and treatment adjustments
• Support clients during therapy sessions by teaching new skills and managing behavior management strategies
• Collaborate with BCBA and be receptive to feedback, to ensure consistency across environments.
Experience
• Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques is preferred
• Experience assisting with ADLs and supporting individuals with autism or other developmental challenges
• Familiarity with medical documentation, patient care procedures, and medical records management is a plus
• Strong communication skills for teaching, data collection, and collaborating with team members
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards in healthcare settings
