Job Description

Process samples through toxicology and molecular workflow including loading,
technical review, and queueing of analytical instrumentation.
General Duties as needed:
Perform qualitative and quantitative LCMS data analysis.
Prepare Standards, Quality Controls, Internal standards and other reagents required
for optimal functioning of analytical testing.
Process patient results through (LIS) with high attention to detail.
Perform and maintain toxicology extraction panel standards, quality controls, and
internal standards for all LC/MS/MS and perform necessary reagent qualification
prior to release for production use.
Document corrective and preventative action in all testing procedures.
Utilize knowledge, understanding, and proficiency in LC/MS/MS methodology to
perform root cause analysis and instrument troubleshooting.
Perform CAP proficiencies as a part of standard patient workflow.
Clean glassware and laboratory workspace as assigned.
Manage Laboratory Inventory: conduct inventory, initiate orders, receive supplies,
and rotate stock appropriately for cost effective use.
Adhere to assigned standard work and utilize time and resources effectively.
Adequate vision required for close, peripheral, depth perception capabilities, and
the ability to adjust focus.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
Recent (within the last 2 years) experience performing fundamental LC/MS
operations. ASCP accreditation strongly preferred.
Demonstrate knowledge, understanding and proficiency in the preparation,
processing and analysis of biological samples using LC-MS/MS toxicology testing.
Demonstrate knowledge, understanding and proficiency in LCMS instrumentation
troubleshooting.
Knowledge of CLIA & CAP regulatory practices or other lab accreditation programs.
Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices
including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling.
Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and
clients.
Required Education, Experience and Credentials:
Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university in chemical, biological,
clinical laboratory science or medical technology, or equivalent education and
experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage time.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment to maintain test quality and efficiency.
Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Additional Position Details: (hours, locations, commute)
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Fridays 3:30PM to 12:00AM and Saturdays 11AM7:30PM. Shift flexibility is required based on testing volumes and may vary based
upon business needs and growth of laboratory services.
Job location is the Corporate Lab located in Burnsville, MN
There is no commuting requirement for the position as a normal part of work
responsibilities.
Compensation range is dependent on verified degrees, certification and number of years in
equivalent work experience: $23.00-$29.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
- •Lab Technologist II is responsible for overseeing and maintaining
- •the toxicology and molecular workflow to support and maintain timely and accurate
- •Perform Instrument maintenance on AU480, Shimadzu LCMS and
- •temperature/humidity monitoring
- •Process samples through toxicology and molecular workflow including loading,
