What You'll Do

As a Behavior Technician, you will provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children and adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities include:
• Implement individualized ABA treatment programs under the supervision of a BCBA.
• Collect and record client data using electronic data collection systems (Motivity).
• Support clients in developing communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills.
• Participate in social skills groups and clinic-based activities.
• Collaborate with families and assist with parent coaching and training.
• Attend monthly trainings, clinical meetings, and ongoing professional development.
• Learn and implement proactive behavior support and de-escalation strategies.
Compensation
• Full-Time Pay Range: $20.01 - $28.59 per hour
• Higher pay rates available based on experience, certification, and qualifications.
• Consistent full-time schedules (36-40 hours per week) or part-time schedules.

Work Environment

Services are primarily provided in our Lomita clinic, with opportunities to work in homes, schools, daycares, and community settings throughout the South Bay, Long Beach, Los Angeles areas or Orange County areas. Typical service hours are between 9:00 AM and 6:30 PM, with some home-based sessions extending to 7:30 PM.

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; coursework or a degree in Psychology, Child Development, Special Education, Education, or a related field is preferred.
• At least one year of experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in an educational, behavioral, therapeutic, caregiving, or related setting.
• Passion for helping individuals with autism and developmental disabilities learn, grow, and succeed.
• Reliable, professional, and able to build positive relationships with clients, families, and team members.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and all required pre-employment screenings.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including sitting on the floor, playing with children, and implementing behavior intervention strategies when needed.
