Job Description

vestigators and assists in computational and physical laboratory experiments related to musculoskeletal biomechanics and engineering.

Essential Functions
• Conducts technical laboratory procedures and analyses related to musculoskeletal research, including physical and computational experiments in basic science and translational clinical research
• Assists in computational analyses of medical images such as MRI, including testing/developing/running/debugging/ scripts in Python and MATLAB
• Maintains laboratory notebooks and records related to study activities
• Assists in the analyses and preparation of data for publication and presentation, provides support to principal investigators
• Conducts literature searches and synthesizes data in support of research studies
• Oversees the laboratory environment, including laboratory safety, data storage, equipment/inventory maintenance, and ordering of supplies

Physical Requirements

Works in a laboratory environment and interacts with people at many professional and technical levels

Education, Experience and Certifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Biology, Health Science, or related field strongly preferred
• Experience in a research lab related to health sciences, engineering, biology, or related scientific field
• Familiarity with programming/coding (MATLAB, Python, etc.), medical image analysis (MRI, CT, etc.), biomechanics, biomaterials, and/or finite element analysis (FEA)
• Familiarity with biochemical assays
• Applicable courses: Statics, Dynamics, Biomechanics, Finite Element Analysis, Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, Mechanical Behavior of Materials
