With 165 individuals and 35 organizations, the corridor’s concentration signals a substantial regional behavioral health market spanning DC, Maryland and Virginia.

ABA Credential Mix

The registry lists 15 BCBA providers and 60 RBT providers. Four providers hold both BCBA and RBT credentials, so those categories overlap and should not be treated as separate, mutually exclusive groups. The resulting credential mix points to a workforce weighted toward direct-care technicians, with a comparatively smaller supervisory pool. That structure can support service delivery, but BCBA capacity remains important for supervision and case growth. The data also identifies 40 providers with multiple taxonomies, further confirming that credential and taxonomy categories overlap across the broader behavioral health workforce.

Workforce Demographics

Among individuals, 127 female practitioners represent 77% of the workforce, compared with 28 male practitioners at 17% and 10 nonbinary practitioners at 6%. Lawren Healthcare Services appeared 3 times, while Henry Recovery House and Mental Health Therapy LLC and Fountain Health Care, LLC each appeared 2 times. Baltimore led the corridor with 43 providers, followed by Washington with 38 providers, Rockville with 14 providers and Columbia with 13 providers.

The update suggests expanding ABA access across the corridor, while the imbalance between RBT and BCBA counts highlights continued demand for qualified supervisors.
