ABA Workforce Mix

The registry reports 90 BCBA credentials and 323 RBT credentials, including 17 dual credentials held by providers listed as both BCBA and RBT. These categories overlap and should not be treated as mutually exclusive shares of Florida’s provider total. The RBT count is more than three times the BCBA count, indicating a workforce weighted toward direct implementation rather than clinical supervision. Because BCBAs oversee RBTs, develop treatment plans and monitor clinical quality, the gap points to continuing pressure on supervisory capacity as the technician workforce grows. The registry also identifies 134 multi-taxonomy providers, reinforcing that credential and taxonomy fields may describe overlapping professional roles.

Demographics and Provider Activity

Florida’s gender data includes 507 female providers, 68 male providers and 8 nonbinary providers, reported as 87%, 12% and 1%, respectively. The registry lists 583 individuals and 106 organizations, while Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, Hialeah and Orlando lead the listed city activity. Kinetic Kickoff LLC and General Behavior Analysis LLC each appear twice in the notable-organizations field.

Florida’s strong RBT presence and broad provider activity suggest expanding ABA access, but the smaller BCBA base may keep supervision and service capacity as key workforce constraints.
